Most Looking Forward To- FUN FOOTBALL

I don't know about y'all, but the past couple football seasons just were not fun. In fact, 2025 was downright boring. It was a chore. Never breaking 25 points in a damn D1 game? Gimme a break!

But that's water under the bridge, now. Lane has already made things more fun! I know some of us have said repeatedly lately this program lacks swagger. Well we have it now!

Let's GEAUX!!

Especially this last season - I really lost interest in it even before Kelly was fired. Had told my ENT doc they would win the A&M game beforehand.

Things are going to be different now. I'm not saying five natties or anything but it already is the opposite of boring!

I hate linking moscona but forward to about 22 minute mark and wait for the Fred Smoot interview.

"If Lane Kiffin comes into your living room with the mom and the dad, he's leaving with your child" lol.

And Fred would know. His son is a top WR for the 2028 class. I would be shocked if he isn't a 🐅 at the end of the day

I'm looking forward to this season. Last season was horrid. Lane has collected a lot of talent so that bodes well. In sheer numbers, I don't know what the count of players on the team will be, but with the NCAA limit expanded to 105 we will be well beyond the old limit of 85. I guess Lane is not sure of what he has so he wanted a lot of pieces in case some of them don't work out. That seems prudent in year one to give the team the best chance to succeed.

I got angry pretty fast once it was apparent Kelly didn't care whether his team won or lost. I felt like we were sold a crappy car by a used acr salesman that promised the car could make it across country with no issues only to find out that 150 miles later the car was dead.

It started to sour for me when he jumped down that reporter's throat for questioning the running game. It only got worse after that.

I do think we're in a much better place now and watching Ole Miss run Charlie Weiss' offense gives me hope that we'll have a balanced and wide open offense once again. Let's hope Baker's defense stays at the same level.

I like that the majority of transfers have multiple years to play
I think you're pretty spot on there. The only question is whether they at LSU for those multiple years or re-enter the portal after next season.

Rosters are almost liquid these days, it seems.

When I graduated from USL in '73, we were told that Texas Instruments would hire all of the math and comp sci graduates. Of course we had folks there and word came back that TI also hired the math and comp sci grads from some other schools also. They evaluated them for a year, and at the end of the year they fired half of that class and only kept the top performers. We look almost too deep. I wonder if this is LK's plan? Of course these kids seem more willing to make a move through the portal than a recent graduate with a good job.

Lane has talked about what you mentioned... almost too deep. He said he's found players like playing in their system and enjoy it, seems to think we'll keep guys more than some teams. I can sorta see it having watched Ole Miss the last couple years. There's camaraderie with his teams.
But yeah, money talks lol
