Game Topic: LSU @ Vanderbilt (10.18.25)

This ship has to sail into port before we can haul it out and patch the hole in the hull.

We would owe Kelly around $60 million at the end of this season, his fourth year hear on his 10 year contract. Kelly will be given an opportunity to fix this. Fire Sloan and others on the offensive staff, probably Brad Davis. Give Kelly two years to fix it, a lot cheaper than firing Kelly and staff and bringing in a new bunch. If that does not work, buy out the last 4 years. The longest deals being given these days are 8 years, Curt Cignetti just got one at Indiana worth 93 million.

Woke up this morning. Doesn’t feel any better.
Same.

I also have to wonder what role does NIL play into this. Player are making bank and it doesn't matter if they give it their best. Why risk injury...as the saying in sales goes: "Everything is funny when you're out there making money".

Player deals should be revocable if there is a lack of performance. Maybe they need to have incentive clauses.

I know NIL is supposed to not be tied to playing at all but we're at the point where the courts are basically saying players should be paid.

The system needs rebuilding from the ground up.

We must really be depressed. No comments.

bad week for me.
3 people with VP in their titles, every salesman’s we have for the state of TX, plus owner/CEO in town for a big oilfield event.

Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn on the Tiger loss to Vanderbilt. They pull no punches. Sloan has to go. BK picked him (and Blake Baker).

Listened to Darry Beckwith interviewed on radio today. He says the offense cannot be fixed this year
Beckwith was a LB, not an offensive guy.

Remember 1999, Dinardo was fired and Hal Hunter coached the last game against Arky. I thought we were going to lose for sure, but we whipped Arky real good. Some amazing things can happen pretty fast. That's proof point. But not all changes have to be so productive.

I don't think the offense can be fixed this year by Sloan and Davis.

I just dropped our podcast. Check it out.

So Kelly FIRED Baker, Austin Thomas, and Corey Raymond. Somebody made him hire them all back. You can't convince me otherwise.

He also fired Tommy Moffit. Let's see how his troops look in Tiger Stadium Saturday night. Our dudes, by and large, are SOFT!
