Game Topic: LSU vs Southeastern LA (2025)

Well that game went about like I expected. The only thing I like about a game against a weaker opponent is watching the backups get a chance to play in Tiger Stadium, so next year they have some experience. I thought Nuss's throwing motion looked more natural. He hit some nice passes, but the SE defenders were not right on the receivers, like they would be in an SEC game. I thought Van Buren looked good in the backup role, was glad to see him get extended playing time. JuJuan Johnson looked good at RB. In general all of the backups played well. Elsewhere on the SECN on announcer pointed out that speaks to quality depth that LSU has. That is something Kelly has been trying to build, and I think the expanded roster to 110 players has to help out there. I wish we had gotten to see a couple of series from Collin Hurley at QB, his next opportunity won't come until Western Kentucky.
