well, that's sorta what happens when you make that particular hire.
dude was just a TE coach 3 years before getting the HC gig.
he was also implicated a bit in their cheating scandal (served a suspension for it).
I really think they elevated him more as a placeholder knowing NCAA sanctions were coming down.
let him take the hits then start fresh afterwards.
him giving them an "out" with his shenanigans was just luck on their part.
him going off the deep end afterwards was, well not so lucky.
