Drink has "a couple ten win seasons"... at a place that won the east a few years ago.

Lane has 4 in the last 5 years at as place that's NEVER won their division.

Just trying to figure out your logic here. Why Drink??

Missouri had 3 losing season in the 15 years before hiring Drink
Ole Miss had 8 losing season in the 15 years before hiring Kiffin

both were hired before the 2020 Covid season.
Missouri was 21-17 (.553) in the 3 years prior and since then have gone 45-27 (.625)
Ole Miss went 15-21 (.417) in the 3 years prior and since then have gone 54-19 (.740)

My opinion, no source...

They'll meet and the AD will ask what will it take. I promise Lane has an offer from FU and another from LSU. I THINK the difference is LSU can (or at least has) guaranteed huge NIL buy-in which Lane will love.

I think their AD already knows this and had been working behind the scenes to offer as much as they can in salary but also with NIL buy-in.

I maintain I still think he stays at Ole Miss. I hate it, but Ole Miss is good for him overall so I get it. They'll build him a damn statue if he just gets them to Atlanta once. No other OM coach has done it.

any particular reason you can't ever just debate your opinion?
maybe like offer up some reasons for why you want the guy (or other things I've attempted to debate you on in the past)?

instead of just getting bent out of shape, resorting to 3rd grader quality name calling, and then leaving?

if you had been paying any attention whatsoever, you would know Kiffin ain't my first choice either (other than the added factor of pissing off Ole Miss fans).

I have him above Drink, but not at the top of my list.
 
To be fair, he does attempt to debate. He just uses fallacies and non-factual data and gets pissed when he's questioned. Like he thinks somehow Missouri is a more lowly program that Ole Miss, therefore BK light (sorry, I meant Drink) is some sort of phenom. In actuality, facts show Lane is the phenom because of what he's done at as true lowly program, Ole Miss
 
There is a segment of LSU fans that are setting themselves up for a big fall if Kiffin does not come to LSU. He could come to LSU and he could just as easily give everyone a head fake and stay at OM or go to Florida. Kiffin is predictably unpredictable. We've been down this road before. Tom Herman. Lincoln Riley. And we've seen some come out of left field, Saban, Miles. Much different landscape in college football this time around. There is nothing verifiable that anyone can latch onto that confirms what is decision will be. Nada. Zilch. I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy other people losing their minds. Because, if its not Kiffin, we'll just move on to the next guy. That's all we can do. It's not like we are going to disband the football program if Kiffin doesn't come here. It's not the end of the world. Go Tigers!!!
 
I would be happy to see Kiffin come here. Some hold old grudges against him, and he had some bad baggage. Tenn. hates him for leaving far too early. Raiders Al Davis said he was a liar. He cheated on his wife and had a drinking problem as a younger man. He seems to have turned most of that stuff around, learning from his earlier mistakes. He seems to have quit drinking and his wife has returned to him, that is two good news items. Sark turned around his drinking problem and has become a productive head coach after Saban rehabbed his reputation and Texas gave him a chance again. I think Lane has proven himself at Ole Miss.

Regarding us, y'all know who I want... same dude I wanted 5 and 4 years ago, I share a name with the dude.

But if we don't get Lane, it won't be because LSU didn't somehow get it together. It'll be because Lane decided he has a good thing at OM.
FU is basically conceding...they're out. My confidence is high on Lane, but if not Lane, my 2nd choice is Dillingham.
Like another Jay Johnson! Even height-wise!!

Pretty sure it's Lane though and I'm pretty happy about it.
 
All these twists and turns and people claiming they know what’s gonna happen reminds me of the time Nick left us all hanging trying to decide if he should go to Miami. Ironically it involved same agent Kiffin has.
 
I'd be fine with either Kiffin or Dillingham. There are a few others I could see getting hired (Sumrall, Fitz, Matt Campbell, and others).
